If you aren’t ready with your Father of The Bride Speech yet

Finally the date has arrived. Your daughters wedding day is already here. This is perhaps the most important day in your her life and a very special day for you as well. You have spent sleepless nights but at the end it seems that you are quite ready to play a perfect host. By the way, hope that you are prepared for your father of the bride speech. I mean the speech you are expected to deliver at the wedding reception. I understand that it was not easy to set aside some time from your busy schedule so that you can prepare for your speech. But, you know what, giving the wedding speech was part of your duty as the bride’s father. And I also do understand that it’s even harder for you to concentrate and put your thoughts together on a piece of paper especially when you complain that the last time you write something creative when you were graduating from college. I don’t know about you but if I were in your place I would have dealt with it well in advance (well, it’s always easier said than done). I am writing this post keeping the father of the bride who is in real hurry. I am assuming that you have got only a couple of day’s time before your daughter gets married. I wouldn’t say that you have sufficient time to get prepared for your speech especially when father of the bride speeches could get trickier as you have to deal with your emotions. Wait a minute, I don’t want to scare you away, after all the purpose of his blog is to help you with your speech. You can still come up with a pretty good father of the bride speech. Once you are done with that I would suggest (keeping the time factor in mind) that you get some sample father of the bride speeches because that’s the best and the fastest way you can write up a wedding speech. Pick the sample you like most or combine multiple speeches into one and then personalize it to make it your own father of the bride speech. You don’t need to think much to tell something about your daughter … there’s so much to tell. But try to keep it simple and straight forward. You might get emotional but that’s absolutely okay, just don’t let it lose your control over the speech. Some humors would make the speech more interesting (like the one you watched in the video). Finally, you should rehearse the speech at least for a couple of times.
