The Groom on his Wedding Day

Congratulations Groom, it is almost your Wedding Day! I am sure now that the day is arriving closer you are becoming more curious what the Groom Wedding Day responsibilities are. The Groom Wedding Day responsibilities can be overwhelming, but if you have a great best man standing by your side and a beautiful, lovely bride, things will come together quite nicely and easily.

The groom should be prepared for almost anything on his wedding day. It is a very emotional time for everyone, including the groom. It will take much preparation to prepare a groom for his wedding day.

Of course, the most important thing you need to do is show up. If you show up at your wedding and are on time—you are almost set. You need to look extremely handsome; this is not only the bride’s big day, but yours too. You need to be SOBER! Do not come in with a hangover from the night before. Limit yourself at your bachelor’s party, so you can fulfill this very important groom wedding day responsibility.

Another groom wedding day responsibility is to greet the guests when they arrive. Your bride will be getting pampered before the wedding to look her absolute best, so it is your groom wedding day responsibility. This also goes hand in hand with the groom wedding day responsibility from before, be on time so that you can greet the guests.

Your next groom wedding day responsibility is to look your absolute best. We touched on this briefly before, but be sure you are sober and looking handsome. Have your hair done perfectly, your shirt tucked in, and your tux worn properly with appropriate colors (black or white). This is going to be a day you and the bride will always remember. There will be many pictures taken and memories made, so look your best and excel in with this groom wedding day responsibility.

Your next groom wedding day responsibility is during the wedding reception. You will need to say a groom wedding day speech! The groom speech is typically pretty easy. You do not need to worry about impressing anyone because all you are suppose to do is thank the major players in setting up the wedding. This includes your parents, in-laws, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and especially your best man. Leave the best man until the end because you will introduce him for his speech right after your groom speech.

Speaking of wedding speeches and toasts, you also have one final, more challenging groom wedding day responsibility. Stay sober and be a gentleman-especially to your bride. On your wedding day, you are successful if you show up sober, but you need to stay sober as well. Do not destroy your wedding reception, be a gentleman and limit your drinks.

Now the most important groom wedding day responsibility is to make it a day your bride will always remember. You are marrying her because you love her and want to spend the rest of your life with her - so show her that is true on your wedding day, more than any other day before.  Make your bride’s day as easy and stress free possible for her, cater to her, and PAY attention to her. One of the worst things you can do is be distracted by everyone else on your wedding day. Give your bride attention, and if you have to, fight for it. Take her hand to pull her out of crowds. Grab her and hug and kiss her. Watch her every move and never let your mind think of anyone else but her, treat her as your queen.
